Ayam Goreng Microwave

Ayam goreng microwave - the good news is tak payah pakai minyak...so lebih sihat

Selamat Menyambut Ramadhan Dan Semoga Kita Semua Mendapat Keberkatan Bulan Yang Mulia Ini, Ameen....

Quote:
A friend send me this poem and thought I share this poem with everybody...

F A M I L Y
I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too;
I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken.
I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
While I lay awake in bed,
God's still small voice came to me and said,
"While dealing with a stranger,
common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse.
Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.
I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,
and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
FAMILY
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company
that we are working for could easily replace us in
a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss
for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more
into work than into our own family,
an unwise investment indeed,
don't you think?
So what is behind the story?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Microwave Orange Crumb Cake

View all 7 photos...
Surprisingly this cake is simple to make and the taste - excellent, not too dry or ápam' like typical of cakes cooked in a microwave. This 9"cake is suitable to serve 6-8 people, so for smaller serving, reduce the recipe accordingly

http://www.microwavecooking.com/
MICROWAVE ORANGE CRUMB CAKE
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar - (I use 3/4 cup sugar)
1/2 c. margarine
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. baking powder
2 eggs
1 c. orange juice

Combine flour, sugar and margarine with pastry blender until mixture is like cornmeal. Combine 1 cup of crumb mixture with cinnamon; reserve for topping. Add baking powder to remaining mixture; blend well. Beat eggs with orange juice. Mix lightly into crumb mixture. Pour into lightly greased 9 inch square baking dish. Sprinkle top with cinnamon crumbs. Bake in microwave, full power, for 4 minutes. Turn half way around.
(Note: I let the cake in the microwave a full 8 minutes and did not turn half way around since my microwave has turntable and the microwave is supposedly evenly distributed) Bake four more minutes.
Serve warm or cool. (This coffee cake can be frozen).

kuzi: betul, akak pun terkejut juga, tengah basuh pinggan lepas buat kek tu, microwave pun bunyi tanda kek dah masak, yg best tu rasa dia memang sedap, so cuba lah kuzi jangan tak cuba...
Rossya & MamaFaMi: minta maaf lambat jawab - dua tiga hari ni banyak meeting, lepas meeting, ada meeting lagi, ok, kalau masak dalam oven biasa belum cuba lagi, tapi bila buat kek ni kali ni rasa tak penat sangat sebab ukuran pun pakai cawan je, dan tak payah pukul banyak, betullah mamaFaMi kata abracadabra tuu, dari Malawi lagi, kek masak he he....Kot cuba pakai oven biasa harap dapatlah share...
luq: raya ni bila kek dah masak, hantar lah gambar, boleh semua orang tengok , kalau untuk sorang, 1/3 or 1/2 of the recipe pun cukup n kena reduce cooking time or rather microwave time.

yeay...microwave!! kalau rajin boleh try buat untuk raya nii... Mon 18-Sep-2006 20:39

Telur dadar microwave

bahan bahan
potong mushroom menggunakan gunting
cincang bahan lain, pukul telur n mix
View all 5 photos...
as promised, this is a recipe for telur dadar microwave. This recepi is a combination of kak liza's http://hanieliza.fotopages.com recipe for TELUR KUKUS and BRUNCH EGG's recipe from http://www.microwavecooking.com/Microwave_Eggs.htm

TELUR KUKUS

Bahan
3 biji telur
1/2 cawan air - I replace this with fresh milk
1 pokok daun bawang [racik] and I add daun sadri too
2 tangkai cili merah [hiris] - I use only one
1 s/b lobak asin [cincang halus] - I replace this with mushroom but practically this can be replaced
with cooked mince meat etc...
garam

cara memasak ikut resepi Brunch eggs ni:
BRUNCH EGGS
(Microwave: Power level 10, 100%, high) In 1 quart casserole place mushroom and onions. Microwave at high 2 minutes. Add eggs and cream, beat with wire whisk or fork until slightly frothy. Microwave at high 2 minutes. Stir, bring coagulated portion to center and runny part to edges.
Microwave 2 minutes. If still runny, microwave 30 seconds more.
Remove. Top with cheese. Let stand 2 minutes. Serves 4-6.

more tips on cooking eggs from http://www.microwavecooking.com/Microwave_Eggs.htm

Fried Eggs
Break and slip one egg into each of two lightly greased 10-ounce custard cups or a pie plate. Gently prick yolks with tip of knife or wooden pick. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook on 50% power for about two to three minutes. Let stand, covered until whites are completely set and yolks begin to thicken but are not hard.
Hard-Cooked Eggs
Separate yolks and whites of eggs into two lightly greased liquid measures or small bowls. Stir yolks with fork. Cover each container with plastic wrap. Cook separately on 50% or 30% power, stirring once or twice, allowing about 20 to 30 seconds per yolk, about 30 seconds to one minute per white. Remove when slightly underdone. Let stand, covered, for about two minutes. Cool long enough to handle comfortably, then chop or chill until ready to chop.
Poached Eggs
Pour 1/3 cup water into 10-ounce custard cup or small deep bowl. Break and slip in two eggs. Gently prick yolks with tip of knife or wooden pick. Cover with plastic wrap. Cook on full power for one to two minutes. If necessary, let stand, covered, until whites are completely set and yolks begin to thicken but are not hard, for about one to two minutes. Pour off water to serve in custard cup or lift out with slotted spoon. NOTE: For four eggs, use 2/3-cup water in one-quart bowl or baking dish. Cook for two to three minutes and let stand as above.
Do NOT cook eggs in their shells.
Steam builds up inside the shell and the egg may explode under the pressure.
Shelled hard-boiled eggs should be sliced or cut up before reheating in the microwave oven. Mix yolks and whites together for scrambled eggs and omelets, to help them cook evenly. The vinegar or hot water used to potato eggs coagulates and sets the whites. Yolks will cook faster than whites in microwaves unless mixed.

There are times when the situation calls for food to be cooked using microwave, for example if you are a student and living in a hostel with minimum cooking facilities but has a microwave at hand - em, macam luq saje bunyi student ni- so this entry and the next few to come will be on cooking food with microwave. This entry will be on Tom Yam, then telur dadar and then cake. Sape sape lagi ada idea on the most effective n efficient way to cook with microwave, please share...

KNizam: memang kena cuba...
MamaFaMi: masakan pakai microwave ni memang senang tapi dari pengalaman bila masak tak boleh masak banyak-banyak sangat - cukup untuk sekali hidangan saja. MamaFaMi ni mesti rajin masak pakai microwave dulu dulu sampai kena rehatkan dia he he...
kuzi: bila dah masak tuh, tepek lah kat fp ye, boleh kita share the experience, pasal project 'perumahan' tu, sat nanti akak call kawan tu, elok kuzi tanya, minta maaf le, punya kalut terlupa pula pasal tu
rossya: kot microwave chef - semuanya terbakar ha ha, funnylah rossya ni..., kot camtu kena guna api dapur je lah...

Senang sungguh guna microwave ni ye. Tapi mama punya microwave dah 'berehat' setahun dah...mentolnya terbakar...tunggu balik Malaysia kot baru nak repair... Sun 17-Sep-2006 04:05

Roti Canai

11 little roti canai dough...
the last three roti canai
best pula buat roti canai sendiri
View all 5 photos...
There are at least 5 roti canai stalls just a 'stone throw' away from my home but the photos of homemade roti canai from MamaFami's and Rossya's fp was too tempting to let go...
none of the 5 stalls could beat the homemade roti canai (the kids & daddy testify to this!)ha ha - whether they really meant it or not does not matter - for the first 5 roti canai disappeared as soon as they were cooked, so these photos are photos of roti canai number 6 and above...so, thank you MamaFami for the recepi and step by step instruction....

http://mamafami.fotopages.com/
ROTI CANAI MAMAFAMI
Ingredients :

500 g flour
300 ml water
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons condensed milk ( I don't have condensed milk and use fresh milk instead)
1 tablespoon shortening (shortening pun tak dak, ganti dengan butter)

for complete instruction and step by step illustration go to http://mamafami.fotopages.com/

ammar sakit perut bila nak tidur, tapi bila main bola tak sakit, and bila tengok katun pun tak sakit - and that's how it's been for about a week. After two doctor visits and the condition did not show any sign of improvement. By the end of the week, bawa dia ke hospital and kenalah duduk kat hospital for 2 nights: a case of undiagnosed food poisoning that later develop into a form of 'constipation'. Alhamdulillah he is back to his old self now - ada lawan bola lagi Sabtu ni.

Hummus by Muaz and masak daging

chick peas/kacang kuda
olive oil
rebus then lecek
View all 7 photos...
yesterday Muaz pula cuba memasak - hummus: resepi dari kawan arab dia - agak simple kacang kuda di rebus dan lecek then masukkan olive oil + salt + sugar to taste. According to Muaz, this is the most simple recepi, tapi ada hummus with other variations
untuk masak daging pula, bahan seperti dalam gambar - semuanya dikisar then tumis + serai.
daging tadi direbus empuk. Bila dan empuk, masukkan ke dalam bahan yang ditumis tadi.
Hari ni Muaz dah balik dah, everybody at home miss u abang ngah but looks forward to kakak's weekend break next week, harap harap kakak pun ada rancangan masak ape ape

Quote:
MamaFaMi: wah Mama ni berpandangan jauh lah nampaknya, doalah yang terbaik he he
rossya:alahai rossya, bukannya expert memasak, cuma minat memasak n good destress activity, kakak n abang ngah pula nak galakkan depa minat memasak - alhamdulillah ada lah nampak sikit sikit minat dah timbul.
http://ibresources.fotopages.com/ : memang sedap....
luq:memang sedap, add this to your list, nanti muaz masakkan, insyaAllah

ikan/ayam bakar daun tebu and a mak cik's story...

ikan dibalut dengan daun tebu....
pembantu ni makin lama makin muda pulak....
tahu bakar dan ayam bakar daun tebu...
View all 6 photos...
This entry is about ikan/ayam bakar daun tebu. People normally use daun pisang but I cant’t find daun pisang and definitely not at 6.30pm, but we do have this rumpun tebu so why not use daun tebu instead of daun pisang. After all, people use daun tebu to wrap ketupat too so…why not daun tebu for ikan/ayam bakar. More remarkable is the event that took place during ‘bakar ikan/ayam daun tebu’. My neighbour, a makcik whom I have not met for quite some time (we have been away…) saw me and called me to her house and she shared with me her remarkable experience….

She had a stroke before ramadhan last year, she could not move her hands, legs and other parts of the body. She was hospitalized for about a week. At home, she had to be re-taught the very basics living skills. She needed to re learn words, for example her daughter will ask her: point to me your eyes, nose, ears etc. She told me she cried for she cannot remember the very versus of al Quran that she used to memorize. But despite the loss, she is still a very courageous and resilient woman. She was and still is a very brave lady. She went through the physical therapy diligently and she prayed that Allah lets her experience Ramadhan and worked very hard to memorize back some versus of al Quran. Looking at her in front of me now, a picture of health and tranquility, I thought that had she not told me this story, I would not know of the harrowing experience that she went through. As I reflect, I realize there’s much that I can learn from this mak cik’s experience. Thank you mak cik for sharing and my prayers that Allah grant us all good health and iman….

Quote:
MamaFaMi: Ha ha ha, ada berapa ramai 'MinahGyver' yang mama kenal?, menarik ni , betul boleh guna daun kunyit tapi daun kunyit tak boleh banyak sangat sebab 'perisa' daun tu agak kuat...
Rossya: rasa dan bau daun tebu tu taklah as obvious as daun kunyit, tapi best sebab tak melekat, ikan tu pula, memang rasa macam manis sikit jelah,...
gee: ikan tu sebab dibalut, memang rasa best lah, crispy on the outside tapi isinya lembut elok saje..
