assalamualaikum wbt: we are back and alhamdulillah sihat - cuma batuk n selsema sikit: kat mekah n bila dah balik. An arab friend said that "a little cough and cold is the tax of Makkah "
Singgah di Badar on the way from Madinah to Mekah - nama syuhada Badar, 14 of them, let's sedekahkan Al Fatihah to these great sahabat yang shahid and alhamdulillah sampainya Islam to all of us now...

Doakan perjalanan kami...

Alhamdulillah, kami (hubby and I) will leave for Mekah for Hajj and work this Monday. Will be back middle Januari, but everybody is very welcome to leave their message/s here.
Mohon doakan keberkatan perjalanan kami, mendapat haji mabrur insyaAllah dan menjalankan tugas sekali semasa musim haji ini. Begitu juga doakan Allah pelihara keluarga yang ditinggalkan dalam keimanan dan kesejahteraan. Ampun dan maaf dipohon sekiranya dalam interaksi dan usik usik di fp ni tanpa disengajakan tersinggung, terguris, terluka dan sebagainya. Semoga persahabatan kekal abadi....

Trifle by nadiah

Trifle
recipe:
Left over cakes, layer it into a glass bowl - nadiah used swiss roll
soak it with juice from a can of fruit cocktail for about 20 minutes
layer in the fruit cocktail
meanwhile, cook custard (custard flour, milk and sugar) and pour over the cake n fruit cocktail
let it cool
add in fruit flavored jelly - I think nadiah used rasberry flavoured jelly
Final topping is your choice which can be yoghurt - healty option, or whipped cream - real topping for trifle
Finally sprinkle chocolate rice

the concept behind trifle ni similar to the concept behind nasi goreng..., use leftover to create a new n exiting dish...

|
this is one of the family's favorite - simple to make and very tasty. The three basic ingredients are macaroni, white sauce and pasta sauce. Mix the cooked macaroni with pasta sauce and then layer it with the white sauce and then into the oven for 40 mins.

1 biji bawang besar - potong dadu

tumis bawang in oil until just soften, add the reconstitute flour tadi, then add chicken stock sampai mendidik. Add milk - be careful, do not let the milk over boil, then finally add the cheese.
ps: salt and pepper to taste
Pasta Sauce
250grams mince meat/chicken
bawang
tomato puree (or fresh tomatoes, blanch in hot water then chopped or a mixture of tomato puree and fresh blanched tomatoes) I like to use this mixture
oregano
button mushroom
small cubed size carrots
small cubed size celery - bebudak kat rumah tak suka ni, so I omit this
1 cup pasta sauce (ragu or prego) - this is optional, kot dah pakai tomat puree n blached tomat pun dah OK
cara
masak macam biasa , I mean tumis bawang dlm minyak, masukkan mince meat,then the vege... |

school holidays, musim masuk jawi

Some events are synonim with school holidays eg: weddings, berkhatan or masuk jawi as it is known in kedah. These are pictures of Ammar n his friends before the berkhatan ceremony - mandi bomba dulu - this event took place two/three years ago...
senyuman menunggu tok mudim...
masih boleh tersenyum....
