Last day of march...
|
|
As March very quickly goes away and we welcome April, I am reminded of an April not so long ago. That April meant warm weather, flowers, blossoms, roses, ice creams, children all over the playground, basket ball, and three sweet children: Sakinah, Nura and Hamzah.... This entry is specially dedicated to them. Juli wrote to say that they missed us and this is to let them know that all we missed all of them too but always with hope to see them soon - in Malaysia, and our doa for the coming soon - latest addition to this kind and wonderful family in Columbus, OH.
A sweet gift to three sweet kids - trifle by ka nadia (as hamzah used to call her...)

Happy Reunion
|
|
happy reunion to kuzi & family, melati & family, luq. Wish we could be there...
| Quote: | http://www.islamonline.net/English/HadithAndItsSciences/ThisHadith/2005/03/02.shtml
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said,
“Among Allah’s servants are people who are neither prophets nor martyrs, but whom the prophets and martyrs will deem fortunate because of their high status with Allah.” The Companions asked, “O Messenger of Allah! Inform us of who they are.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) told them that they are people who loved each other for Allah’s sake, even without being related to one another or being tied to one another by the exchange of wealth. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went on to describe their great reward on the Day of Resurrection: “By Allah, their faces will be luminous and they will be upon light. They will feel no fear when the people will be feeling fear, and they will feel no grief when the people will be grieving.” Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) read the verse: [Behold! verily on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve] (Yunus 10:62). Happy Belated Birthday to Kak Adi
|
|
Happy Belated Birthday to kak adi - being good friends, I always look forward to March because her birthday is in March. In fact I make a mental note to myself as early as January and February about this special date. Now that March is here, I realized that kak adi's birthday was in fact last week, and, this is not the first time that I missed her birthday. She always accept my belated birthday wishes with the utmost grace. Perhaps I should give her birthday present for next year now?
What do I write about this 'one in a million lady?', Allah has blessed my life with a friend like kak adi and my doa that this friendship for the love of Allah is a blessed one....
enjoy the photos and once more " Happy Birthday To Kak Adi "
(credit for the photos in this entry goes to Irwan - thank you Irwan)

"Friendship" - extract from The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran, published by William Heinemann Ltd: London in 1984 (first published 1926)
"And a youth said, Speak to us of Friendship.
And he answered, saying:
Your friend is your needs answered.
He is your field which you sow with love and reap with thanksgiving.
And he is your board and your fireside.
For you come to him with your hunger, and you seek him for peace.
When your friend speaks his mind you fear not the "nay" in your own mind, nor do you withhold the "ay".
And when he is silent your heart ceases not to listen to his heart;
For without words, in friendship, all thoughts, all desires, all expectations are born and shared, with joy that is unclaimed.
When you part from your friend, you grieve not;
For that which you love most in him may be clearer in his absence, as the mountain to the climber is clearer from the plain.
And let there be no purpose in friendship save the deepening of the spirit.
For love that seeks aught but the disclosure of its own mystery is not love but a net cast forth: and only the unprofitable is caught.
And let your best be for your friend.
If he must know the ebb of your tide, let him know the flood also.
For what is your friend that you should seek him with hours to kill?
Seek him always with hours to live.
For it is his to fill your need, but not your emptiness.
And in the sweetness of friendship let there be laughter, and sharing of pleasures.
For in the dew of little things the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."

Happy Birthday mak yang...
|
|
Kuzi, gee n fliffy tagged me ... sorry dears, revealing what's weird about me has to wait: I need more time to really find out what's weird about me, em, may be this is one of it.
Anyway, this entry is a special birthday dedication to mak yang - my sister in law but all the anak buah call her mak yang it stays as mak yang.
Mak yang is kind, considerate, loving, jovial, forgiving, a good listener, setahun sekali masak capati bila keluarga berkumpul, as for everyday cooking em, her dapur is at a different address, nonetheless she's a good cook, married to a Johorian so the family can look forward to masak asam, lontong, rendang kering and a host of other goodies that she mastered after being married to pak yang em, that's what love does to her I supposed: (ni ateh yang bubuh ni ha ha) jangan mare mak yang ye, gurau je....
Ateh is here too and she said: Hadiah dah bagi dah...
H A P P Y B I R T H D A Y M A K Y A N G...........
